The number of treatments required varies according to your age, skin condition, treatment goals and how your skin responds. A series of 3–6 treatments is recommended for optimal results, with appointments generally spaced four to six weeks apart.

Microneedling results develop gradually because collagen remodelling takes time. Some clients notice an early improvement in glow and texture, while more significant changes may continue developing for one to three months after the final session.

Most clients experience pinkness, warmth and sensitivity similar to a mild sunburn for approximately 24 to 48 hours. The intensity depends on treatment depth, skin sensitivity and the area treated.

Many clients describe the sensation as light pressure, vibration or gentle pinching. Complimentary numbing may be used when appropriate to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

It may be performed during the summer when proper sun avoidance and aftercare are followed. Daily sunscreen, protective clothing and avoiding unnecessary sun exposure are especially important before and after treatment.

Makeup should generally be avoided for at least 24 hours or for the period advised by your provider. Only approved post-treatment products should be applied while the skin is recovering.

Avoid excessive heat, intense exercise, saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, swimming pools, lakes, exfoliation and active skincare ingredients until the skin has recovered. Follow the personalized instructions provided at your appointment.

Treatment may need to be postponed or avoided for clients with active infection, open wounds, active inflammatory skin conditions, certain medications, uncontrolled health conditions or other contraindications. Suitability is assessed before treatment.
